Senior Technical Consultant - Networks

New Horizon is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant – Networks to join our team in Karachi. In this role, you will provide expert technical support throughout the development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise network solutions. Your focus will span WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SDN environments, ensuring robust and secure network infrastructure that meets organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SDN network solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Define and deploy comprehensive network security architectures to safeguard organizational assets.
- Install, configure, and manage critical network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and SDN systems.
- Establish and enforce operational standards, baselines, and governance practices to maintain network integrity and performance.
- Analyze network performance metrics and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, providing expert support to internal teams and vendor partners.
- Mentor and guide junior network team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware and software.
- Proficiency with switches from Huawei, Cisco, and H3C.
- Experience configuring and managing routers from Huawei and Cisco.
- Strong knowledge of WLAN technologies, including Huawei, Cisco, H3C, and Juniper platforms.
- Expertise in firewall management with Fortinet, Sangfor, and Huawei products.
- Practical experience with SDN solutions such as Huawei iMaster NCE Campus, Huawei iMaster CampusInsight, and VMware NSX.
- Professional-level network certification is mandatory, such as HCIP Datacom or CCNP.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- Expert-level network certifications like HCIE Datacom or CCIE are highly desirable.
- Security certifications including Fortinet FCA, Fortinet FCP, or CCNP Security will be considered an advantage.
