Senior Textile Designer

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Textile Designer will be based full-time at Lewani’s Lahore facility, leading the entire fabric design process from concept development to final production. This role involves conducting trend research, exploring colors and materials, and creating original patterns and prints. The designer will prepare detailed technical specifications for weaving, knitting, and printing processes. Collaboration is essential, as the Senior Textile Designer will work closely with product development, production, and merchandising teams to ensure designs align with aesthetic, performance, and cost targets. Daily tasks include managing multiple design projects, reviewing and refining samples based on feedback, and maintaining an organized archive of designs and references. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior designers and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of Lewani’s design workflows and standards.

Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in textile design, including pattern development, color theory, and fabric construction.
- Proficiency in design and visualization software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and textile CAD tools, with experience preparing digital artwork for print and weave.
- Experience in trend research, market analysis, and the ability to translate customer and brand requirements into commercially viable textile concepts.
- Solid understanding of textile production processes including weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing, with a focus on quality and feasibility.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of presenting design ideas clearly and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accuracy in technical documentation and specifications.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers, fostering a culture of learning and constructive feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field, with several years of relevant industry experience in textile or fabric design.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
