Senior Trade & Pricing Executive - NVOCC

We are seeking a Senior Trade & Pricing Executive to join our team in Karachi, Pakistan, within the NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) sector of the shipping and logistics industry. This full-time, on-site role requires a professional with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience who can effectively manage trade, pricing, and rate activities to support the company’s competitive positioning and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ocean freight, rate negotiation, and a solid understanding of international shipping processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage trade, pricing, and rate management activities for NVOCC operations, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing structures.
- Develop and negotiate ocean freight rates with shipping lines and service providers to secure favorable commercial terms.
- Prepare and maintain buying and selling rates, tariffs, and customer quotations, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Monitor market trends, carrier rates, surcharges, and competitor pricing to inform strategic decisions.
- Coordinate effectively with Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders, Agents, and Overseas Partners to streamline operations.
- Support the sales team by providing competitive rates and pricing strategies that enhance customer acquisition and retention.
- Analyze trade lanes, shipment volumes, margins, and profitability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and negotiate terms that benefit the company’s commercial objectives.
- Ensure timely updates of rate sheets and pricing databases to reflect current market conditions.
- Handle pricing for FCL (Full Container Load), LCL (Less than Container Load), import/export shipments, and major international trade lanes.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Documentation, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Qualifications

- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in NVOCC, Shipping Line, or Freight Forwarding environments.
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight, trade lanes, and container shipping operations.
- Proven hands-on experience in pricing, rate negotiation, and preparing quotations.
- Solid understanding of FCL, LCL, Incoterms, surcharges, and shipping documentation.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills to evaluate market conditions and optimize pricing.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with pricing or rate management systems.
- Candidates with an established network within the shipping or NVOCC industry will be preferred.
