Senior Video Editor

Zealancy is seeking a talented Video Editor with expertise in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to join their Fulfillment/Post-Production team in Karachi. This full-time onsite role involves transforming raw footage and creative concepts into captivating, high-retention YouTube content, primarily focusing on documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form videos. The ideal candidate understands not only how to edit but also why an edit works, using pacing, visuals, sound, motion graphics, and AI-generated visuals to enhance storytelling. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, with the level determined by skill, portfolio, experience, and trial performance. Working hours are from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and the selection process closes on October 6, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Develop strong intros and hooks that generate curiosity and maintain viewer attention.
- Structure videos focusing on storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences.
- Utilize tools such as Higgsfield AI and other AI image or video generation platforms.
- Seamlessly combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing, motion design, graphics, and sound for visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading when necessary.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into engaging visual sequences.
- Accurately reproduce editing styles based on references without mere imitation.
- Apply fundamental graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of projects and communicate any blockers promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of motion design and animation principles.
- Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout judgment.
- Knowledge of basic color correction and grading techniques.
- Skilled in B-roll selection and visual storytelling.
- Effective project organization and asset management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation tools.
- Capability to generate, refine, and integrate AI visuals into professional edits.
- Strong judgment regarding visual consistency, realism, continuity, and quality when using AI-generated assets.
- Solid English comprehension for working with English-language scripts.
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling and viewer retention strategies.
- Ability to analyze and explain why certain editing decisions work.
- Awareness of purposeful creative decisions versus decorative effects.
- Familiarity with creator-led content styles, including channels like Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir.

Compensation is competitive and based on portfolio quality, technical skills, creative judgment, experience, and trial performance. Selected candidates may also be eligible for performance-based earnings, revenue sharing, performance partnership opportunities, and medical benefits as per company policy.
