Senior Video Editor - Short form

We are a fast-growing Podcast Marketing Agency dedicated to helping coaches, consultants, and small businesses grow their audience, build authority, and generate leads through strategic podcasting and content marketing. We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Video Editor specializing in short-form content to join our team full-time. This role involves transforming long-form podcast episodes into engaging, high-impact short videos tailored for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of social media trends, and the ability to produce polished videos under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit and produce short-form videos including reels, clips, and ads optimized for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Repurpose long-form podcast content into concise, attention-grabbing clips that boost engagement and audience retention.
- Integrate dynamic captions, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and viewer experience.
- Optimize video pacing, transitions, and hooks to maintain viewer interest and maximize reach.
- Stay current with social media trends and platform algorithms to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with content and podcast management teams to ensure videos align with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Apply basic audio enhancements, color correction, and sound design to deliver professional-quality videos.
- Respond promptly to client feedback and implement revisions to improve video content.
- Strategically plan and schedule video releases on social media to increase audience engagement.
- Ensure all videos comply with company standard operating procedures and quality standards, delivering work on time.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in short-form video editing with a strong portfolio demonstrating past projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; familiarity with CapCut or similar editing tools is a plus.
- Strong skills in storyboarding and visual storytelling, with the ability to create compelling hooks for short videos.
- Understanding of social media algorithms and best practices to maximize video engagement.
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, sound design, and audio mixing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of captioning, text overlays, and meme-style editing to enhance video appeal.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Film, IT, or a related field is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in video editing focused on digital marketing and short-form content.
- Passion for podcasts, content marketing, and staying updated on social media trends.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Gulberg III, Lahore. Working hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The monthly salary range for this role is between Rs70,000 and Rs90,000. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
