Senior WordPress and Wix Developer

Sigi Technologies is looking for a Senior WordPress and Wix Developer to join their team in Lahore. This full-time position involves leading web development projects from concept to deployment, focusing on creating high-performing and responsive websites. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional experience working with WordPress and Wix, combining technical expertise with a strong design sensibility. The role requires collaboration with design and content teams, mentoring junior developers, and actively contributing to process improvements within the development workflow.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance websites using WordPress and Wix platforms. Customize themes, plugins, templates, and modules to meet specific project requirements. Implement advanced features using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and Wix Velo. Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness. Lead the entire development lifecycle, including planning, coding, quality assurance, and deployment. Integrate APIs and third-party tools to enhance website functionality. Utilize Git for version control and manage staging and deployment processes. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve website performance and security issues. Work closely with designers, content creators, and project managers to ensure alignment with business and creative goals. Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain clean, scalable codebases. Stay updated with platform changes, emerging tools, and industry best practices. Maintain thorough technical documentation and standard operating procedures for internal and client use.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of three years of professional experience in WordPress and Wix development is essential. Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL is required. A deep understanding of WordPress architecture, including custom post types, taxonomies, and plugin/theme development, is necessary. Expertise with Wix Editor and Velo for customized site development is expected. Knowledge of SEO best practices, schema markup, and performance optimization tools such as GTmetrix and PageSpeed Insights is important. Experience working with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and website analytics platforms is required. Skilled use of Git version control and managing collaborative development projects is essential. Ability to convert designs from tools like Figma or Adobe XD into fully functional web pages is also required. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with WooCommerce and Wix Stores is advantageous. Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg is preferred. Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator are a plus. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and compliance requirements is beneficial. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs85,000 to Rs150,000. The work location is onsite at Sigi Technologies’ office in Lahore.
