Service Engineer

KAN Engineering & Services, a leading provider of professional power generation solutions in Pakistan, is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join their team in Lahore. With over 16 years of experience as an authorized dealer of John Deere (USA), MAN (Germany), and SCANIA (Sweden), the company specializes in diesel generator sets that meet international standards for efficiency, fuel consumption, and emissions compliance. The Service Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of these power systems by delivering expert installation, maintenance, and repair services both onsite and in the company workshop.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair diesel generator sets and related equipment at customer locations and in-house.
- Diagnose technical issues and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct field service visits and provide technical support to customers, explaining findings in clear, understandable terms.
- Prepare detailed service reports and coordinate with parts and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of components.
- Ensure all work adheres to company procedures, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to continuous improvement of service quality and reliability.
- Manage multiple service calls efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Be available for regional travel and occasional emergency call-outs to support customer needs promptly.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems in diesel generators.
- Hands-on experience with onsite inspections, installations, and commissioning of power generation equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins for generators and associated systems.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of diesel engines, alternators, control panels, and related components.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and preparing clear, concise service documentation.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in industrial and field environments.
- Capability to work independently and manage time-sensitive tasks efficiently.
