We are looking for experienced application developers on Android platform. The person shall be autonomous in terms of development tasks and must know the latest technologies used for mobile apps development.
- Expert knowledge of Android Studio.
- Expert knowledge of Java and Android SDK.
- Expert knowledge of Android emulator(s).
- Understanding of the capabilities and differences between various Android system versions, and create dynamic layouts for different screen sizes and orientations ranging from phones to tablets.
- Solid understanding of JSON-based RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Solid experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
- Understanding of Android power management.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of Android Material Design Guidelines, UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience with JAVA and Android SDK
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
