About Role
- We are looking for Android developers that have a passion for design and developing cutting edge Android app interfaces, front-end architecture and related components. You will be working directly with a cross-functional engineering team comprising of front-end developers, back-end engineers and data science engineers in building Shahi Sawari's new products and services. If you are obsessed about user interaction design and the opportunity to work on challenging user-flow problems excites you then this is a role for you. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to stores and support
- Ensure the integrity of user and device data
- Integrate with 3rd party services and tools to achieve user flows, generate insights and analytics on user behavior and app performance
- Build rich user experiences in the Rider, Driver and other consumer-facing applications that make the user's interaction clear and intuitive
Key Requirements
- 2 to 5 years experience delivering quality, at scale consumer-facing Android apps available in the Play Store
- Fluency with Java and RxJava; knowledge of Kotlin is a plus - Strong object-oriented programming, and a good knowledge of pattern and anti-pattern design
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning - Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications - Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with app profiling, code versioning, deployment and continuous integration
