Key Responsibilities 1. Clinical Instruction & Patient Care
Supervise clinical rotations: Guide undergraduate students in the diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of dental procedures on patients within the university hospital.
Demonstrate advanced techniques: Provide chairside demonstrations of specialized procedures relevant to your department (e.g., complex extractions, flap surgeries, or fixed prosthodontics).
Maintain clinical standards: Ensure all student-led treatments adhere to sterilization, safety, and ethical protocols.
2. Academic Teaching & Assessment
Deliver core lectures: Design and present evidence-based lectures and seminars as part of the BDS curriculum.
Curriculum development: Assist in the continuous review and update of course materials to align with PM&DC/HEC requirements.
Examinations: Prepare, invigilate, and grade theory papers, OSPEs, and clinical vivas for internal and professional examinations.
3. Research & Scholarly Activity
Independent Research: Initiate and lead research projects relevant to your specialty.
Publication: Maintain a consistent track record of publishing original research in peer-reviewed, indexed journals.
Mentorship: Supervise student research posters, presentations, and undergraduate/postgraduate dissertations.
