Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University seeks a dedicated Lecturer in Islamic Studies to provide high-quality education and scholarship in various Islamic disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering lectures, preparing course materials, and guiding students through complex topics such as Quranic Studies, Hadith Sciences, Islamic Jurisprudence, and Islamic History. This role requires a strong foundation in traditional and contemporary Islamic scholarship and the ability to stimulate intellectual curiosity and critical thinking among students. The lecturer will actively engage in academic research and contribute to curriculum development to ensure the academic programs align with emerging trends and educational standards. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the Lecturer will collaborate closely with academic staff and participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and seminars to support the university's educational mission. The candidate will employ educational technology and research methodologies to enhance the learning experience. This role demands excellent academic writing skills, the ability to assess and evaluate student progress effectively, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that respects diverse perspectives within Islamic studies.
Responsibilities

Develop, prepare, and deliver lectures and seminars on Islamic Studies topics including Quranic Studies, Hadith Sciences, Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic History, and related subjects.
Design comprehensive curriculum and educational materials that support academic rigor and student engagement.
Conduct and publish high-quality research that contributes to the academic field and aligns with the university's research priorities.
Guide and mentor students, providing academic advice, feedback, and support to encourage intellectual growth and success.
Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
Participate in departmental meetings, academic workshops, and university initiatives to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, and presentations, ensuring fair and transparent assessment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in Islamic scholarship and educational best practices.
Contribute to academic writing and reporting necessary for accreditation and institutional documentation.
Promote an inclusive and respectful academic environment that values diverse Islamic traditions and viewpoints.
