The work includes careful color matching, proper masking and taping to protect non-painted areas, and conducting thorough clean-up to maintain a safe and organized workspace. This role ensures that the appearance of university buildings reflects a professional and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes and cracks to ensure paint adhesion and smooth finishes.
Mix paints, stains, and other coatings according to specified formulas and color requirements to achieve consistent results.
Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment with precision to cover various surfaces effectively.
Perform color matching tasks to replicate specific shades and finishes as required for repairs and new applications.
Use masking and taping techniques to protect windows, trim, and adjacent surfaces from paint overspray or splatters.
Ensure all painting equipment and tools are cleaned and maintained regularly to extend their usability and performance.
Maintain safe and organized work areas by properly disposing of paint residues and cleaning up after completing tasks.
Inspect painted surfaces for quality, fixing any imperfections or inconsistencies promptly to meet professional standards.
Follow all safety guidelines related to handling paints, solvents, and painting equipment to ensure personal and workplace safety.
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding project status, material needs, and any difficulties encountered during painting operations.
