Unilever is seeking a dedicated Shift Manager for its Foods Factory located in Lahore. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time role focuses on driving manufacturing operations to meet agreed targets in volume, cost, safety, quality, and other key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the making and packing operations on the shop floor, ensuring smooth and efficient production while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage making and packing operations to achieve shift targets related to volume, quality, output reliability, cost, and safety.
- Receive and manage chemical and packaging materials efficiently.
- Organize and control labor resources, including operators, technicians, and contract workers, ensuring the right numbers and skill sets are deployed.
- Monitor material consumption and yield, actively working to reduce waste and minimize material variance through optimal usage and accurate record-keeping.
- Supervise weekly and monthly stock counts and manage Fourth Shift transactions.
- Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, ensuring all workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Drive autonomous maintenance activities on the shop floor to support operational reliability.
- Support the implementation of best practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and audit recommendations.
- Identify skill gaps among workers and organize relevant training programs.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in operations or production within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Technically proficient with a passion for engineering and continuous learning.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Growth mindset with the ability to adapt and improve.
