Shopify Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Backend Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend features for our Shopify stores. You will work closely with design, frontend, and marketing teams to deliver scalable solutions that enhance the customer experience and improve overall store performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify backend functionality, including private apps and APIs.
- Build and optimize Shopify Liquid templates, metafields, and custom backend logic.
- Integrate third-party APIs and apps to extend store capabilities.
- Create automated workflows and synchronize data across platforms such as ERP and CRM systems.
- Troubleshoot backend issues to ensure fast, secure, and stable performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to implement new features and enhancements.
- Maintain clean, well-documented code following best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Shopify Developer, focusing on backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
- Proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
- Experience with backend languages such as Node.js, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus is preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize backend performance effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with e-commerce integrations, including ERP systems, payment gateways, and fulfillment solutions.
- Knowledge of headless Shopify frameworks such as Hydrogen, Next.js, or Remix.
- Understanding of SEO best practices to support store visibility.
- Database management experience is a plus.
