Shopify Developer (Experienced)

ShopX Commerce, powered by BrainX Technologies, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Shopify Developer/Designer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Shopify development, including creating custom themes, apps, and extensions from the ground up, as well as improving and optimizing existing solutions. This role demands both technical proficiency and creative problem-solving skills to deliver outstanding e-commerce experiences that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes while modifying existing templates to align with business needs.
- Develop and optimize both public and private Shopify apps, integrating seamlessly with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Build and deploy Shopify Functions and Extensions to implement customized store logic and enhance platform functionality.
- Engage in backend and full-stack application development using Node.js, React, Next.js, or Remix frameworks.
- Serve as a Shopify expert across all aspects of the platform, including Shopify Plus, providing guidance and best practices.
- Implement and customize Shopify themes with a strong command of the Liquid templating language.
- Ensure responsive, high-performance UI/UX by utilizing HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate closely with design and product teams to optimize landing pages, product detail pages (PDPs), and checkout flows to maximize conversion rates.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
- Stay current with updates in the Shopify ecosystem, emerging tools, and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience as a Shopify Developer.
- Hands-on expertise with Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in custom theme development, app creation, and third-party integrations.
- Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, React, Next.js, and Remix.
- Excellent understanding of Shopify APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
- Solid knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques tailored for e-commerce platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.
- Highly self-motivated with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency at C1 level or above according to CEFR standards.
- Disciplined approach to testing, quality assurance, and version control using Git.
