Latency Studio is looking for a mid-level Shopify Developer to join our team at the Wapda Town office in Lahore. Key Responsibilities
Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will be responsible for translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, fast-loading storefronts that enhance user experience. Implementing Shopify apps and integrations is a core part of the role, including building custom solutions when existing apps do not meet project requirements. Optimizing site speed and Core Web Vitals to improve conversion rates will be essential. You will independently debug complex issues related to themes and apps and collaborate closely with designers and project leads to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in Shopify development. Strong proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, and responsive CSS is essential. You should be comfortable using Git, browser developer tools, and working within existing codebases. Excellent problem-solving skills are required, especially in situations where documented solutions are unavailable. Effective communication skills in written and spoken English are necessary for client interactions. A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Shopify Online Store 2.0, including sections and metaobjects, is a plus. Familiarity with headless commerce setups, the Hydrogen framework, or Shopify APIs will be advantageous. A keen eye for design details such as spacing and layout will help maintain the quality of our storefronts. Previous experience working on international projects or in ecommerce-heavy environments is preferred.
