Short Video Editor

We are seeking a talented and fast-paced Short Video Editor to join the PakWheels Video Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of short-form content, stay updated with social media trends, and be skilled at transforming raw footage and creative concepts into engaging, high-quality videos optimized for digital platforms. Beyond traditional editing, familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs is essential for developing AI-assisted video content. A passion for automobiles, keen visual storytelling abilities, and the capacity to deliver multiple videos under tight deadlines are crucial. This role involves close collaboration with producers, hosts, and the creative team to produce content that aligns with PakWheels’ brand identity. Additionally, the editor will shoot video content using a mobile phone and provide quick-turnaround coverage at events.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos ranging from 10 seconds to 3 minutes for platforms including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.
- Produce 3–6 AI-assisted videos monthly using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and other emerging AI platforms.
- Utilize AI tools to support scripting, voiceovers, visual generation, and streamline video production workflows.
- Collaborate with the short video producer, team lead, hosts, and content team to brainstorm ideas and refine edits.
- Create engaging videos with effective pacing, transitions, captions, text overlays, sound effects, and background music.
- Perform audio cleanup, sound design, color correction, and basic motion graphics as needed.
- Ensure consistent editing quality and maintain visual branding across all PakWheels short-form content.
- Adapt videos to current trends, memes, viral formats, and platform-specific audience behaviors.
- Shoot video content using a mobile phone and provide on-location, quick-turnaround coverage at events.
- Organize project files, footage, graphics, and digital assets for efficient collaboration and future use.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, delivering high-quality content often producing several videos per day.
- Optimize edits to improve key performance indicators such as click-through rate (CTR), watch time, audience retention, and engagement.
- Stay informed about new editing techniques, AI tools, social media trends, and automotive content formats.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in short-form video editing or a related content production role.
- Strong proficiency in CapCut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Practical experience with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs, capable of producing complete AI-assisted videos.
- Ability to shoot quality video content using a mobile phone.
- Solid understanding of short-form video pacing, hooks, visual storytelling, and audience retention strategies.
- Competence in audio leveling, sound design, color correction, and visual composition.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple projects and meeting daily deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Strong creative judgment and awareness of current social media trends and platform-specific formats.
- Willingness to work on-location and cover events as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
