Short Video Editor

We are seeking a talented and fast-paced Short Video Editor to join the PakWheels Video Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of short-form content and social media trends, with the ability to transform raw footage and creative concepts into engaging, high-quality videos optimized for digital platforms. This role requires proficiency in AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs to develop AI-assisted video content. A passion for automobiles, visual storytelling skills, and the capacity to deliver multiple videos under tight deadlines are essential. The editor will work closely with producers, hosts, and the creative team to produce content that aligns with PakWheels’ brand identity. Additionally, the role involves shooting video using a mobile phone and providing quick-turnaround coverage at events.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit short-form videos ranging from 10 seconds to 3 minutes for platforms including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.
- Produce 3 to 6 AI-assisted videos monthly using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and other emerging AI platforms.
- Utilize AI tools to support scripting, voiceovers, visual generation, and streamline video production workflows.
- Collaborate with the short video producer, team lead, hosts, and content team to brainstorm ideas and refine video edits.
- Create engaging videos using effective pacing, transitions, captions, text overlays, sound effects, and background music.
- Perform audio cleanup, sound design, color correction, and basic motion graphics as needed.
- Maintain consistent editing quality and visual branding across all PakWheels short-form content.
- Adapt videos to current trends, memes, viral formats, and platform-specific audience behaviors.
- Shoot video content on a mobile phone and provide on-location coverage at events with quick turnaround.
- Organize project files, footage, graphics, and digital assets for efficient collaboration and future use.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, delivering high-quality content within tight deadlines, often producing several videos per day.
- Optimize edits to improve key performance indicators such as click-through rate (CTR), watch time, audience retention, and engagement.
- Stay updated on new editing techniques, AI tools, social media trends, and automotive content formats.

Required Qualifications

- 1 to 3+ years of experience in short-form video editing or a related content production role.
- Strong proficiency in CapCut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Practical knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs, with the ability to develop and produce AI-assisted videos.
- Ability to shoot quality video content using a mobile phone.
- Strong understanding of short-form video pacing, hooks, visual storytelling, and audience retention strategies.
- Competence in audio leveling, sound design, color correction, and visual composition.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple projects, and consistently meet daily deadlines without compromising quality.
- Creative judgment aligned with current social media trends and platform-specific formats.
- Willingness to work on-location and cover events as required.
