- Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals in Linux and Windows.
- Proven experience in configuring web applications and database servers (Apache Nginx, MariaDB, Varnish, lighttpd, PostgreSQL, PHP, LAMP, XAMPP).
- Basic knowledge of networking security concepts, such as firewall, iptables and port forwarding.
- Familiarity with setting up cron jobs for backup and maintenance.
- Preference will be given to candidates with multiple certifications in networking and system administration.
- Familiar with repository management like git.
- Familiar with shell scripting or Python.
- Hands on experience with the AWS Cloud services
- Familiar with Automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible)
This position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan
Major Duties:
- Manage system infrastructure including production servers, firewalls & switches.
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues.
- Monitor the system daily and respond quickly to any security breaches, availability and usability concerns.
- To identify and analyze the issues that hamper the performance of the system, and to work in close coordination with the product development team and recommend the solutions for the issues
- To do all the supporting tasks that are included, but not limited to code deployment, managing source control systems, virtual servers, scripting, etc.
- To be involved in designing, implementing, securing and maintaining the computer systems for its test, development and production environment
- Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system.
- Ensure design of the system allows all components to work properly together.
