Simz Engineering & Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing payroll, and handling accounts payable and receivable while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role requires someone with strong skills in financial reporting and the ability to work effectively using Microsoft Excel. The Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization. This position is well-suited for a candidate with at least one year of experience in accounting who is eager to contribute to a dynamic engineering and construction company. The candidate will not manage a team but must demonstrate excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal departments and external partners. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities

Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and accurate recordkeeping.
Process payroll accurately and timely, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and company standards.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, create reports, and maintain detailed financial records.
Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies to ensure balanced and accurate accounts.
Assist the Finance Manager by providing necessary financial information and documentation for audits and reviews.
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation to support financial reporting and compliance.
Collaborate with various departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to the development of enhanced accounting procedures.
Communicate financial information clearly and professionally within the organization, supporting effective decision-making.
