The Site & Charging Engineer will ensure that every client location is equipped to charge its e-bike fleet safely and efficiently. This role involves overseeing the entire process from initial site survey through to the installation and commissioning of charging infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with clients and contractors to deliver reliable charging solutions that meet safety and operational standards, supporting the company’s standardized approach across multiple cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough surveys of client sites, assessing electrical load capacity, distribution boards, parking layouts, weather protection, and security measures.
- Design customized charging setups for each location, determining the number of charging points, cabling requirements, protection mechanisms, and optimal placement. Prepare detailed installation cost estimates to support proposals.
- Hire, manage, and supervise electrical contractors to ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Commission and test charging units before handing over to clients, providing training to facility staff on basic operation and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of all installed chargers at each site and coordinate ongoing maintenance and fault repairs as needed.
- Adhere to established processes and use approved suppliers aligned with the company’s residential and commercial charging rollout to maintain consistency and quality.
- Travel between Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad/Rawalpindi as required to support multiple project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BE/BSc). Professional Engineering Council (PEC) registration is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in low-voltage electrical installations, building services, solar installations, or electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
- Proven experience in managing contractors on-site and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety codes, standards, and building power systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
