Job Purpose:

The Financial Functional Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize financial performance. The Financial Functional Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, recommend changes to financial systems and processes, and provide ongoing support to ensure financial objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and recommend changes to financial systems and processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support financial planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement changes to financial systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of financial systems and processes.
  • Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and providing training as needed.
  • Collaborate with other functional analysts to ensure integration and alignment of financial systems and processes with other business systems.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to financial systems and processes  

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in finance or CPA, ACCA or Equivalent qualification, accounting, information technology or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in systems analysis and 5 years in financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles & IFRS, accounting practices and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, modelling, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, such as Oracle or SAP, preferred.
  • Ability to work and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
