As a Level 2 SOC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting the organization’s information systems with a particular emphasis on compliance with healthcare regulations. Your responsibilities will include implementing advanced security measures, managing security incidents, and ensuring the safety of our cloud infrastructure. You will monitor threats, maintain data integrity, and uphold healthcare compliance standards. This role requires a strong understanding of security protocols, cloud technologies, and regulatory requirements to effectively safeguard sensitive health data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor security alerts and events using tools such as SIEM, EDR, and XDR, with a preference for Azure Cloud Defender.
- Conduct initial analysis and response to security incidents including phishing, malware infections, and network breaches.
- Manage endpoint security by monitoring core Windows processes, event logs, Sysmon, and endpoint detection tools.
- Collect, analyze, and correlate security data from various tools to support incident investigation and response.
- Assist senior analysts in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Document all activities thoroughly, including incident tracking and report writing, to ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends through continuous learning and access to ongoing training and certifications.
- Periodically review logs of critical assets to ensure compliance with security policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cyber Security.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT Security.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based IT infrastructure.
- Strong skills in reporting, documentation, and presentation.
- Knowledge of fundamental IT security concepts and incident management processes.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as MS Azure Cloud Defender, Manage Engine, or Cloudflare.
- Familiarity with SIEM solutions, EDR, or XDR technologies.
