We are seeking a skilled Moodle Developer with 1+ years of experience developing, customizing, and maintaining Moodle-based learning platforms. The ideal candidate will have solid PHP and MySQL skills, experience in Moodle plugin/theme development, and a good understanding of LMS standards. Knowledge of WordPress development will be considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom Moodle plugins, themes, and modules.
- Integrate Moodle with third-party systems using APIs and web services.
- Optimize Moodle performance and troubleshoot functional issues.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and other team members to deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Ensure platform security, data protection, and regular backups.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
- Maintain clear and organized technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in Moodle development.
- Strong command of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in Moodle theme and plugin development/customization.
- Understand LMS standards such as SCORM and xAPI.
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
Plus Points (Nice to Have):
- Experience in WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, performance optimization).
- Core PHP development experience.
- Knowledge of Moodle REST/SOAP web services.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Exposure to other LMS platforms or EdTech tools.
