Software Automation Quality Assurance Engineer

AlphaBOLD is seeking talented QA professionals to join its Lahore office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of quality assurance principles and best practices, with the ability to apply technical skills to ensure quality throughout various stages of agile development. Candidates should be experienced in automation testing and familiar with QA processes, demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Proficiency in SQL or No-SQL databases is essential to thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned with both business and technical requirements.
- Utilize structured testing methodologies to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Review and validate requirements and design specifications to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.
- Create detailed test design documents addressing all specified requirements.
- Automate existing test cases for simple or Angular web applications using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UIPath, Protractor, Puppeteer, or JMeter.
- Assist in identifying and preparing appropriate test data for testing activities.
- Plan and coordinate testing efforts to verify functional, system, and technical specifications are met.
- Log defects and monitor issues through resolution, maintaining clear communication with project teams.
- Report test outcomes, risks, and issues effectively to project managers, QA leadership, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- 1.5 to 3 years of hands-on experience in software automation quality assurance within a reputable organization.
- Proficiency with one or more automation or performance testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UIPath, Protractor, Puppeteer, or JMeter.
- Experience in API testing and database testing.
- Strong command of English, enabling effective communication with US-based clients.
- Thorough understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of grey box and black box testing techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to independently perform QA and testing activities with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with issue-tracking tools, preferably JIRA.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within motivated, self-organized agile teams.
