Software Developer - .NET Core

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain application features and modules using .NET Core/.NET 8+ and C#.
- Follow established design patterns, architectural guidelines, and best practices within the Microsoft technology framework.
- Adhere to coding standards, participate in code reviews, and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Management, senior developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and contribute to microservices-based components under guidance.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for source control, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and work item tracking, while writing automated tests as part of the delivery process.
- Write and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures, supporting data modeling and basic indexing tasks.
- Debug and resolve software defects, identify performance bottlenecks, and highlight technical debt for team resolution.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, provide task estimates, and meet sprint commitments.
- Continuously learn and apply advancements in the .NET and Microsoft ecosystem to daily work.

Required Qualifications

- 1-3 years of professional software development experience on the Microsoft technology stack; strong internships or project work will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core/.NET 5+ and C#.
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET Core Web API, MVC patterns, middleware, and dependency injection.
- Familiarity with Entity Framework Core, including migrations and both database-first and code-first approaches.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, including writing queries, joins, stored procedures, and a basic understanding of indexing and query performance.
- Exposure to Azure cloud services such as App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming (async/await), and core .NET fundamentals.
- Ability to write unit tests using frameworks like xUnit or NUnit.
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and work item tracking.
- Strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Awareness of Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and Microsoft Identity Platform for authentication and authorization.
- Familiarity with Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Blob Storage.
- Knowledge of Azure API Management and API gateway patterns.
- Exposure to Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for observability.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Fundamentals or Azure Developer Associate are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
