Software Development Engineer

WriftAI is developing the foundational infrastructure that simplifies deploying and scaling AI in production environments. Our platform enables teams to deliver AI-powered products faster by eliminating the operational challenges of managing models at scale. Through easy-to-use APIs and SDKs, we handle model deployment, scaling, and performance optimization behind the scenes, making production-grade AI accessible to engineering teams of all sizes. We are seeking recent graduates in Computer Science or Engineering who are passionate about starting their careers as Software Engineers and contributing to the future of AI.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs that form the core of the WriftAI platform.
- Build and enhance systems that integrate with AI model inference, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Implement features that improve the reliability, performance, and usability of the platform for developers.
- Work hands-on with AI-powered features, experimenting with model behavior, performance, and developer interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with Platform Engineers, Product teams, and other engineers to deliver scalable and robust solutions.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions to shape the platform’s evolution.
- Debug and resolve issues across production services to maintain system stability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (within the last 24 months) or soon-to-be graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience deploying machine learning models in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Hands-on experience working with AI-powered systems, including integrating model inference, experimenting with prompts or configurations, or building AI-driven features.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and distributed architectures.
- Experience with high-throughput systems, data pipelines, or AI-powered product development.
