Software Engineer – Android (Onsite, Karachi, PKR Salary)

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with 2 to 4 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong Kotlin fundamentals and hands-on expertise with Jetpack Compose. This role involves building high-quality native Android applications, focusing on performance, user experience, and seamless integration with backend services. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, translating product and UI/UX requirements into responsive and engaging mobile experiences.
- Integrate REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, analytics, notifications, and third-party SDKs to enhance app functionality.
- Implement media playback and streaming features, including support for OTT platforms using ExoPlayer/Media3, DRM, deep linking, and subscription flows where applicable.
- Optimize application performance by improving memory usage, battery consumption, and startup times to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Write comprehensive unit and UI tests, participate actively in code reviews, and maintain high code quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with backend developers, product managers, designers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Support Play Store release processes, including preparation, monitoring, and resolving production issues promptly.

Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Android development with strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK, lifecycle management, and mobile application architecture principles.
- Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs, handling asynchronous operations, and implementing secure authentication flows.
- Familiarity with Git version control, debugging tools, testing frameworks, and Play Store deployment procedures.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices, including secure storage and data protection.
- Experience working with OTT platforms, ExoPlayer/Media3, DRM technologies, deep linking, and subscription management flows.
- Strong grasp of architectural patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture, along with dependency injection techniques.
