Software Engineer – Java Full Stack Developer

Global Rescue, a leading global membership organization specializing in integrated medical, security, intelligence, and crisis response services, is seeking a motivated mid-level Software Engineer – Java Full Stack Developer. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale enterprise applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices, JPA, and Hibernate, contributing directly to supporting members in crisis situations globally.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, MySQL, and Angular, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and business analysts to deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions. Participate actively in application architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions aimed at improving system quality and performance.

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including sequence diagrams, class diagrams, state transition diagrams, flowcharts, ERDs, and design specifications. Develop thorough unit and integration tests to guarantee application quality, reliability, and maintainability. Provide Level III production support by troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions using application monitoring and observability tools such as logs, metrics, and traces.

Perform data analysis to identify inconsistencies and implement solutions to maintain data integrity. Utilize modern software engineering tools and practices, including Git/GitLab, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated testing. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, testing, documentation, and overall engineering productivity. Manage multiple assignments effectively while delivering high-quality work within established timelines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable university or institution. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and Angular. Proven expertise with relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server, including SQL query optimization.

Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, API Gateway, Web Sockets, Message Queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka), caching mechanisms like Redis, IoT protocols such as MQTT, Identity Provider (IDP) solutions like Keycloak, and authentication protocols including OIDC and SAML. Proficiency with JUnit, Git/GitLab, Maven, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and CI/CD pipelines.

Working knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.

Familiarity with AI-powered development tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, and productivity. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.
