As a Software Engineer, AI within the Cloudways team, you will contribute to integrating advanced AI capabilities into our managed hosting platform. Reporting to the AI Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with platform engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams. Your role involves designing and implementing AI-powered features that simplify cloud operations, enhance automation, and improve the developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop agentic AI solutions that automate complex workflows.
- Integrate AI agents with existing Cloudways services and platforms.
- Improve current AI agents through automation, anomaly detection, and performance enhancements.
- Write production-quality code primarily in Python and PHP.
- Work with databases, APIs, and backend systems to ensure seamless service integration.
- Apply foundational AI concepts such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and function calling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and development teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to independently develop end-to-end AI solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python and PHP programming languages.
- Experience working with databases, APIs, and backend system integrations.
- Familiarity with basic AI concepts including prompt engineering and function calling.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
