Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed backend systems that fulfill high standards of functionality, scalability, and reliability for a fast-growing business.
- Uphold rigorous code quality by writing maintainable, readable code supported by thorough testing.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and designers to solve complex challenges across the platform.
- Actively contribute as a member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
- Continuously document and refine engineering practices to boost system performance and dependability.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a passion for writing clean and maintainable code.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical challenges and solutions, manage loosely defined problems, adapt to rapidly evolving requirements, and think abstractly.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and work on products with significant scale and impact.
- Effective communication skills paired with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of clean code principles and design patterns.
- Experience or knowledge of test-driven development.
