Software Engineer II - Backend | NextGen Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain distributed backend systems that meet demanding functional, scalability, and reliability requirements for a rapidly growing business.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, readability, and comprehensive testing.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, product owners, and designers to address challenging problems across the platform.
- Contribute as a proactive member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.
- Deliver high-quality code consistently, with a strong commitment to excellence.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and write clean, maintainable code.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions clearly.
- Comfortable working with loosely defined problems and adapting to fast-changing requirements.
- Passionate about learning new technologies and contributing to products with large-scale impact.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with clean code principles and design patterns.
