Software Engineer II / Cloud Automation Engineer

We are looking for a talented Cloud Automation Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad on a full-time basis, specializing in IT services. The successful candidate will focus on creating reusable automation templates to streamline recovery processes for NCR-managed devices and platforms within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure environments. This role plays a vital part in improving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and optimizing performance across multiple cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement reusable automation templates that simplify recovery procedures across devices and platforms managed in GCP and Azure. Enhance system efficiency by minimizing downtime and driving performance improvements throughout cloud environments. Develop scripts and automation code to support software deployment provisioning in cloud settings. Build integrations with third-party tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and GitHub to improve workflow automation. Work closely with development and support teams to effectively manage problem resolution efforts. Provide continuous operational support to maintain the stability and reliability of the automation platform. Assist in reviewing and updating documentation related to migrating applications from on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with GCP and Azure cloud infrastructure and networking is essential. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience managing GCP/Azure project and subscription constructs. Experience with monitoring tools such as StackDriver, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, or similar solutions for 1 to 2 years is required. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go with at least 2 years of application development experience is necessary. Candidates must have 2 or more years of experience working with CI/CD tools and technologies including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory. Experience of at least 2 years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management (CM) tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Chef is required. Strong documentation skills to create technical recommendations and publish guidance for internal teams are also important.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with over 7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) will be highly regarded. Additionally, more than 5 years of experience in leadership roles, managing teams, and driving technical initiatives is preferred. This position offers a competitive salary range of INR 25 to 30 Lakhs per annum and is based in Hyderabad, Telangana.
