Software Engineer II

The Software Engineer II role involves working independently on well-defined features or subsystems within a product roadmap, contributing to the development and improvement of software solutions that support NCR Atleos’ mission.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate with minimal supervision on most tasks, while seeking guidance on complex work as needed.
- Develop applications using client-server and n-tier architectures with .Net technologies including ASP.Net, C#.Net, C++, ADO.Net, and XML Web Services.
- Design and implement RESTful services and work with SQL databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and meet challenging deadlines.
- Develop Crystal Reports and implement distributed architectures using HADOOP.
- Implement security protocols such as TLS 1.2.
- Design user interfaces using modern frameworks like Angular, React, and Ember.
- Create dashboards using Microsoft Power BI tools.
- Work with web servers including IIS versions 6.0 and 7.0.
- Apply expert-level debugging techniques to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with teams to collect feedback and recommend improvements in work practices.
- Review code to identify root causes of defects and prevent recurrence.
- Communicate quality standards clearly and ensure adherence to processes that meet excellence criteria.
- Consult with stakeholders to understand domain and customer requirements, translating them into effective software designs.
- Evaluate opportunities for software reuse to accelerate product delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software development life cycle best practices and propose improvements.
- Analyze and diagnose complex customer issues, implementing timely solutions to minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficient in .Net technologies including ASP.Net, C#.Net, C++, ADO.Net, and XML Web Services.
- Strong experience with RESTful services and relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with distributed source version control systems like Git or BitBucket.
- Experience developing Crystal Reports and working with distributed architectures using HADOOP.
- Knowledge of TLS 1.2 protocol implementation.
- Skilled in designing user interfaces using Angular, React, or Ember.
- Experience creating dashboards with Microsoft Power BI.
- Working knowledge of IIS web servers (versions 6.0 and 7.0).
- Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
