Software Engineer II On-site — Full-time Hyderabad / Chennai

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles.
- Prepare and communicate project status and risk assessments to management, ensuring programs remain on schedule.
- Develop software solutions for PDI products actively and collaboratively.
- Perform thorough testing to verify that systems meet documented user requirements.
- Apply a disciplined approach within an Agile environment to analyze and determine optimal technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues with urgency, maintaining detailed documentation of all solutions.
- Compile test results to support problem-solving efforts.
- Conduct engineering-level tests to identify defects; troubleshoot and debug both development and production issues. Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective product test plans.
- Work closely with Product Owners to clarify requirements and estimate feature work.
- Partner with QA Engineers to resolve bugs discovered during release stabilization and refine test plans.

Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining software applications within a product development environment.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies: .Net and C#, SQL, JavaScript or JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), ASP.Net MVC.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Familiarity with AI development tools, ideally Claude, including agentic development methods.
- Practical knowledge of full web stack development or relational databases.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and a willingness to support others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, focused team environment.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills under competing deadlines.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities, able to perform well under pressure.
- Skilled at influencing decisions and socializing ideas without direct authority.

- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
