Software Engineer in Test

The Software Engineer in Test role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Lahore District. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for back-end services and web applications. Daily tasks include writing testable code, creating and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with software engineers, product teams, and QA professionals to ensure high-quality software releases. The role also involves participating in code reviews, enhancing test coverage, optimizing performance, and contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Additionally, the engineer will assist in refining testing standards, tools, and best practices across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using C# and modern automation methodologies.
- Develop automation solutions for Web, Mobile, and API applications.
- Design and develop APIs and automation services to support testing efforts.
- Build reusable automation libraries, components, and testing utilities to improve efficiency.
- Develop custom automation frameworks utilizing JMeter with Groovy scripting.
- Create reusable Groovy scripts for automation workflows, data processing, and framework enhancements.
- Work with databases for validation, data management, and automation support.
- Develop service workers, schedulers, background services, and automation execution workflows.
- Support application deployment processes and environment configuration.
- Troubleshoot automation issues and enhance framework stability and performance.

Required Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in C# programming and solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Proven experience in developing automation frameworks and reusable test components.
- In-depth knowledge of API architecture, development, and integration techniques.
- Experience with Web and Mobile automation frameworks.
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with SQL databases and database concepts.
- Proficiency in developing automation frameworks using JMeter and Groovy scripting.
- Ability to create custom Groovy scripts for automation workflows.
- Understanding of application deployment processes and environment management.
