Software Engineer Intern

Humalogue AI, a US-based company specializing in AI voice agents, is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join their Islamabad office for an onsite night shift role from 6 PM to 4 AM PKT. The company’s AI agents support outbound calling operations for call centers in the US healthcare, insurance, and real estate sectors. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work directly on a live production system, contributing meaningful code and gaining hands-on experience with voice AI technologies. Successful interns demonstrating strong performance will be considered for a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python services using FastAPI that power AI voice agents.
- Assist in integrating AI bots with client dialers such as VICIdial, Asterisk, and SIP.
- Work with real-time call flow technologies including speech-to-text, large language models (LLMs), and text-to-speech systems.
- Monitor live campaigns, analyze call recordings, and quickly resolve any issues that arise.
- Create scripts and tools to automate testing and quality assurance processes.
- Provide support for client integrations during US calling hours.

Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate or final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong fundamentals in Python programming.
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and Linux operating systems.
- Genuine interest in AI, LLMs, and voice technology.
- Ability to learn quickly, take ownership of tasks, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite during night shifts in Islamabad.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with FastAPI, Docker, or AWS cloud services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with VoIP technologies, Asterisk, or call center systems is a plus.
- Personal projects involving OpenAI, Whisper, or similar AI tools will be highly regarded.
