Software Engineer - Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join our development team. This internship offers fresh graduates or final-year students in Computer Science or Software Engineering a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working on real-world software projects. Interns will collaborate closely with experienced developers, enhancing their programming skills while learning industry best practices and modern development workflows. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using Next.js, React.js, Python, or related technologies.
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior developers.
- Support the development of frontend components, backend services, APIs, and application features.
- Work with APIs and databases to integrate application functionality.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs with support from the team.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and other team members to understand requirements and deliver features.
- Use Git and version control tools to manage code changes effectively.
- Learn and apply modern software development practices, including testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Explore AI-powered development tools and workflows where applicable.

Required Qualifications
- Fresh graduate or final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Next.js, React.js, or Python.
- Understanding of fundamental programming concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
- Basic knowledge of web development concepts such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or APIs, depending on the chosen technology.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building academic, personal, or freelance projects using Next.js, React.js, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and database concepts.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask for Python, or Next.js for React-based development.
- Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with GitHub, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Interest in AI/ML, large language model applications, or AI-powered software development.
- Experience using AI coding assistants to support development and debugging.

Additional Information
- Monthly stipend: Rs30,000 to Rs40,000.
- The role is based in Karachi and requires 100% in-person attendance with full willingness to travel as needed.
- The selection process includes a two-step interview: an online technical assessment followed by a final on-site interview.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
