Software Engineer

Worldmind, the intelligence platform powering Invenio Protocols, an Ireland-based commercial intelligence company, is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in AI systems and full-stack development. This full-time remote position based in Pakistan offers a starting salary of PKR 150,000 per month. The role involves working on cutting-edge AI agents, research pipelines, evidence retrieval, workflow automation, and the user interface that integrates these components. You will collaborate closely with the founder and take significant ownership of the product’s development and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Worldmind’s frontend, backend, and infrastructure components.
- Integrate AI models, APIs, research tools, and external data sources into the platform.
- Design and implement agent workflows capable of executing tasks, handling failures, and producing traceable outcomes.
- Improve systems for information retrieval, source attribution, persistent memory, and overall research quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues spanning the entire stack, including interface, database, and deployment environments.
- Assess and incorporate relevant open-source tools that add value to the project.
- Deliver updates, validate their performance in the live environment, and take full responsibility for their impact.

Required Qualifications
- Strong programming fundamentals with excellent debugging abilities.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
- Experience working with React/Next.js, APIs, PostgreSQL, and authentication mechanisms.
- Practical knowledge of deploying and maintaining production applications.
- Understanding of security best practices including permissions, credential protection, logging, and reliable background job processing.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and exercise sound technical judgment.

Our current technology stack includes Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, Railway, and AI model APIs. Experience with agent orchestration, search systems, document processing, queues, or research platforms is highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Clear communication about technical limitations and proposing practical solutions is essential. Familiarity with AI coding tools is welcomed, but candidates must thoroughly understand, review, and take responsibility for the code they produce. There is no formal requirement for a specific degree or university background; your work and technical capabilities will be the primary basis for evaluation.
