Software Engineer (MERN)

FiveRivers Technologies is looking for a motivated Full Stack Developer with 1 to 2 years of professional experience to join their team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering end-to-end features for client products. This role demands strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The developer will handle tasks from requirement analysis through deployment, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack features, including frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, managing them from requirement analysis to deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as required.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and technical decisions clearly and effectively.
- Manage tasks independently to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in React or Next.js and Node.js.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and/or MongoDB.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, including queries, mutations, schemas, and resolvers.
- Familiarity with Git and standard software development workflows.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Vercel, along with basic CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience integrating AI or Large Language Model (LLM) APIs into applications.
- Competitive programming experience or a GitHub portfolio showcasing personal projects is a plus.
