Software Engineer - MERN Stack

Devsinc is looking for a skilled MERN Developer to join our innovative team. Collaborating closely with the sales team, you will develop customized solutions that address client requirements, improve productivity, and streamline communication processes. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of full-stack features using the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. Architect scalable and maintainable backend APIs and frontend UI components. Build and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs with robust error handling and secure authentication methods such as JWT and OAuth. Write unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, or Chai to ensure code quality. Optimize web applications for performance, speed, and scalability. Implement responsive and accessible UI/UX designs using modern CSS frameworks like SASS, CSS Modules, or Tailwind. Utilize Git for version control, following feature branching and pull request workflows. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Design. Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers. Integrate third-party services such as Stripe, SendGrid, and Firebase as needed. Participate actively in architecture discussions and technical planning sessions.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on development experience with the MERN stack. Strong proficiency in React.js, including hooks, state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, or Context API), and component-based architecture. Deep understanding of Node.js runtime and asynchronous programming patterns like Promises and async/await. Expertise in MongoDB, including schema design, aggregations, indexing, and performance tuning. Solid experience building RESTful APIs using Express.js. Familiarity with Docker for local development and deployment workflows. Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Vercel, or Heroku. Strong knowledge of software design principles, modular architecture, and scalable codebases.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Fluency in TypeScript is highly desirable. Experience with CI/CD tools and managing deployment pipelines is a plus. Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) frameworks like Next.js. Familiarity with WebSockets and real-time communication technologies such as socket.io. Exposure to monorepos, micro-frontends, or microservices architectures. Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies. Prior experience mentoring team members and leading feature teams is advantageous.
