Software QA & Testing Intern

MarkingEase is seeking a dedicated Software QA & Testing Intern to join our team and contribute to the quality assurance of our live EdTech SaaS product. In this role, you will engage directly with the production environment, identifying bugs, usability issues, and inconsistencies to help deliver a seamless experience for both teachers and students. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world software testing challenges in a dynamic startup setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional and regression testing on production features to ensure stability and performance.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and verify software bugs and issues.
- Detect UI/UX problems and confusing or inconsistent user flows that may affect user experience.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to guarantee compatibility.
- Design and execute test cases focused on software quality.
- Carry out performance testing, including load testing and stress testing, to evaluate system robustness.
- Test real-world user scenarios and edge cases to uncover hidden defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers to investigate and resolve identified issues.
- Re-test fixes and maintain overall product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance principles.
- Practical experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing methodologies.
- Good knowledge of load testing, stress testing, and performance testing techniques.
- Ability to approach testing from both technical and end-user perspectives.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for uncovering subtle issues.
- Proficient in bug reporting and documentation to clearly communicate findings.
- Comfortable working directly with live production software.
- Genuine passion for software quality, testing, and continuous learning.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned testing responsibilities.
