Software Quality Assurance Engineer

YourPower Labs, a pioneering AI and GreenTech company focused on renewable energy, is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their onsite team in Gulberg III, Lahore. This full-time role operates from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and is ideal for candidates with 1 to 1.5 years of experience in software quality assurance. The position involves validating software products, APIs, complex system behaviors, and AI/ML model outputs to ensure high standards of accuracy, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to the delivery of scalable, high-quality technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive manual testing across web applications, products, and APIs.
- Validate AI/ML model outputs for accuracy, consistency, and expected behavior.
- Develop and maintain structured test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UI/UX testing.
- Execute API testing, validating data, requests, responses, and overall system behavior.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Investigate edge cases and potential failure scenarios to ensure robustness.
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand requirements and verify fixes.
- Support release validation to ensure product quality before deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards, processes, and documentation.
- Participate in the development and expansion of test automation as the platform scales.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 1.5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or product testing.
- Strong understanding of manual testing, SDLC, STLC, and software QA methodologies.
- Proven experience in writing structured test cases, scenarios, and defect reports.
- Good knowledge of API testing practices.
- Basic familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Experience using Postman or equivalent API testing tools.
- Comfortable working with project and bug-tracking platforms like Jira or ClickUp.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify edge cases and communicate technical issues clearly and professionally.
- Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic programming knowledge in Python or JavaScript is advantageous.
- Experience testing AI/ML or data-driven applications is a plus.
- Exposure to computer vision, GIS, or geospatial systems is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a product-based technology company is preferred.
- Understanding of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD environments is a bonus.
