Medcare MSO, a leading USA-based Healthcare IT company with over 800 professionals in Pakistan, is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the HealUs QA Team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our Practice Management System (RCM) within the healthcare domain. This position is based in Lahore and requires on-site presence, with working hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in healthcare IT, particularly with U.S. healthcare systems, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain quality assurance artifacts.
- Perform hands-on testing of web-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications.
- Review requirements and technical design documents to guarantee thorough test coverage.
- Prepare accurate test estimates, develop detailed test plans, and document test execution results comprehensively.
- Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, database, and API testing.
- Validate healthcare-specific data formats such as HL7 files and CCDA documents with precision.
- Monitor software quality throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Identify, document, and report defects using industry-standard tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Debug issues efficiently and communicate findings clearly to development and project teams.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance roles, preferably within Healthcare IT.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare Practice Management System (PMS) domain is essential.
- Practical experience with multiple healthcare modules such as Patient Demographics, Scheduler, Encounter, Labs, Medication, Immunization, CCDA, and HL7 file validation.
- Proficiency in SQL for database validation purposes.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Skilled in using QA and test management tools including JIRA, Azure DevOps, and TestRail.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document tests and report bugs clearly and effectively.
