Software Quality Assurance Intern

SumSols Technologies is offering a full-time Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Internship based in Faisalabad. This in-person internship runs for three months, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. The role provides hands-on experience in manual testing of web and software applications, focusing on identifying bugs, UI issues, and functional defects. Interns will work closely with the development team to ensure software quality and gain exposure to real-world QA practices. Although this is an unpaid internship, there is a clear pathway to a full-time SQA position based on performance and learning progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web and software applications to ensure functionality and usability.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, UI inconsistencies, and functional defects clearly and accurately.
- Understand software requirements to prepare detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute functional, regression, and basic usability testing to validate software behavior.
- Collaborate with developers to verify fixes and improvements, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive test documentation and reports for tracking purposes.
- Utilize basic testing tools to log bugs and monitor test results throughout the testing lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with manual testing tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Trello, TestRail, or similar platforms at a basic level.
- Knowledge of the bug lifecycle and defect reporting processes.
- Ability to analyze software applications critically to identify areas that require testing.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to clearly report findings.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a curiosity and eagerness to learn QA best practices.
