Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer

ACCOTECH (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with 1 to 1.5 years of experience to join its growing development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and close collaboration with developers and other stakeholders. This role demands a proactive professional who can uphold high software standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Execute manual testing on both web and mobile applications to detect defects.
- Document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct various testing types including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure software products meet established quality standards before release.
- Actively participate in requirement analysis and sprint planning meetings.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation and provide regular updates on testing progress.
- Assist in refining QA processes and testing methodologies to enhance overall software quality.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 to 1.5 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Practical experience with manual testing, bug reporting and tracking, test case design, regression testing, functional testing, and basic API testing.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium or Cypress is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality software.
- This is a fully on-site role based in DHA-2, Islamabad, near Central Mall opposite Gigamall.
- Office hours are from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
- The selected candidate must be willing to commit to a minimum two-year employment contract.
