Software Quality Assurance (SQA)

EvolveDash, a B2B software services and consultancy company catering to mid-market clients across the US and Canada, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their team in Lahore, DHA Phase 6. This full-time, on-site role offers a market-competitive salary and is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to develop their skills in quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that web, mobile, and AI products meet high standards before release, contributing to the delivery of reliable and effective software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, smoke, UI, and cross-browser/device testing.
- Identify, report, and track bugs with clear documentation, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels, using Jira or similar tools.
- Retest resolved issues and conduct regression testing prior to each release to ensure quality.
- Test APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Maintain and update test cases, checklists, and test reports regularly.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release review meetings alongside the development team.
- Gradually learn and support test automation efforts using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Up to one year of experience in software testing or quality assurance, including internships and final-year projects.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the bug life cycle.
- Familiarity with various testing types and techniques such as functional, regression, smoke, sanity, black box, and boundary value testing.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and an understanding of how web applications and APIs function.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail, with a curious and analytical mindset.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- ISTQB Foundation certification or completion of a QA-related course.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like Jira or TestRail.
- Basic programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java, or some exposure to test automation.
