Software Quality Assurance (SQA)

EvolveDash, a B2B software services and consultancy company catering to mid-market clients across the US and Canada, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their team on-site in DHA Phase 6, Lahore. The company specializes in designing and building web, mobile, and AI products. This full-time role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are detail-oriented and eager to grow within the quality assurance field. Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, smoke, UI, and cross-browser/device testing.
- Report and track bugs effectively, providing clear documentation with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels using Jira or similar tools.
- Retest resolved issues and conduct regression testing prior to each software release.
- Test APIs using Postman to ensure proper functionality and integration.
- Maintain and update test cases, checklists, and test reports to reflect current testing status.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release review meetings alongside the development team.
- Gradually learn and contribute to test automation efforts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Up to one year of experience in software testing or quality assurance, including internships and final-year academic projects.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the bug life cycle.
- Familiarity with various testing types and techniques such as functional, regression, smoke, sanity, black box, and boundary value testing.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and an understanding of how web applications and APIs operate.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail with a curious and analytical mindset.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- ISTQB Foundation certification or completion of a recognized QA course.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like Jira and TestRail.
- Basic programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java, or some exposure to automation testing.
- Experience testing mobile applications on Android or iOS platforms.
- Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
