Solution Architect & Development Team Lead — React / Node.js / SaaS Architecture

We are looking for a Solution Architect who will also take on the role of lead developer within our team. This position calls for a hands-on leader who not only designs robust technical solutions but actively contributes to their development. You will oversee a small team, including a Senior Software Engineer and a Junior Developer, making key architectural decisions while continuing to write and review code. This role suits someone with significant experience in both software development and solution architecture, preferably gained at a reputable Pakistani software house. The ideal candidate values delivering impactful solutions and thrives in a results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design and propose comprehensive solution architectures for new projects and features, covering websites, SaaS platforms, and backend systems, including data-heavy applications such as vendor-catalog backends. Maintain an active development role by writing and reviewing production code, primarily using React and Node.js, rather than focusing solely on architectural documentation. Lead and mentor the development team by setting technical direction and ensuring high code quality standards. Make well-informed decisions regarding technology stacks, tooling, and system design trade-offs, confidently standing behind those choices. Collaborate closely with the Technical Project Manager to scope, estimate, and prioritize tasks across multiple projects. Own the code review process and uphold the technical quality and reliability of all deliverables. Proactively address issues beyond assigned responsibilities to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years in software development, with 10+ years preferred, including substantial experience in solution architecture or technical leadership roles rather than purely individual contributor positions. Proven track record working at a well-known and respected Pakistani software house. Demonstrated passion for hands-on coding alongside architectural duties, with strong expertise in React and Node.js and a history of delivering production-ready code. Experience architecting SaaS-style, multi-tenant, or multi-client web applications. Ability to confidently own both frontend and backend architecture decisions. Familiarity with modern development tools such as Sanity, Vercel, Supabase, Cursor, and GitHub, with openness to adopting AI-assisted development tools. Experience leading or mentoring developers, fostering technical growth and excellence. An outcomes-driven mindset focused on delivering results rather than tracking hours. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
