The Solution Architect – Infrastructure (Grade L3) will play a pivotal role in designing and architecting enterprise-level hybrid and private cloud solutions, as well as data center infrastructures. This position requires close collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), technology partners, and customers to translate complex business needs into effective technical designs. Serving as a vital bridge between presales, customers, channel partners, and delivery teams, the architect will also contribute to building internal capabilities aligned with the System Integration practice for professional and managed services. The role is based in Islamabad, Lahore, or Karachi.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers to gather detailed business and infrastructure requirements is a primary responsibility. The architect will design comprehensive infrastructure architectures that include compute, storage, virtualization, cloud, and backup platforms. Collaboration with OEMs and partners is essential for solution validation, technical sizing, proposal development, and ensuring competency alignment.
The role involves preparing high-level and low-level design documents (HLDs and LLDs), architecture diagrams, bills of quantities (BOQs), and handover documentation for delivery teams. Supporting delivery teams during implementation planning is crucial to ensure solutions meet design specifications and are ready for deployment. Participation in OEM technical enablement programs and contributing to competency development within the System Integration practice are also expected.
Additionally, the architect will assist in solution positioning during customer engagements and respond to RFPs and RFIs. Staying current with market trends and emerging technologies related to infrastructure, cloud, and data center architecture is important. The role also emphasizes promoting an inclusive work environment that supports diversity and equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A solid 5 to 8 years of experience in infrastructure solution design, cloud or data center engineering, or presales roles is required.
A deep understanding of data center and cloud infrastructure components—including compute, storage, and virtualization technologies—is essential. Strong knowledge of high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and security architecture best practices is also necessary. Proven experience in customer-facing technical solutioning and producing detailed architecture documentation is expected.
Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of OEM and partner ecosystems and the ability to collaborate effectively on solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative skills are critical to success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Certifications such as VMware VCP or VCAP, RedHat RHCSA or RHCE, Huawei HCIA/HCIP (Cloud/Storage), and Veeam or Commvault are highly desirable. Familiarity with OEM technologies including VMware, RedHat, Huawei, Dell/Lenovo servers, NetApp/Hitachi storage, and backup solutions like Veeam and Commvault will be advantageous.
Moderate travel is expected based on customer and project requirements. The employer is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and provides equal opportunities for all employees.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of infrastructure architecture within a dynamic environment, collaborating with leading technology partners and contributing to the growth of professional and managed services capabilities.
